Bible Note Quote: "Here I am, like Moses, but much less worthy, on the "backside of the dessert" as it were, and while peering across the apparently barren landscape of my life there is a burning bush that captures my attention and my heart. The fire of the bush corresponds with the fire in my heart and I cannot help but follow... The fire still burns!"
quote from The Fire of God's Word Still Burns! ~ ~ (see former quotes here: Bible Note Quote Archives)

Bible Notes Topics Indexes (linked to the topics)

This is currently a work in progress, but I intend to list every Bible Notes topic in this forum in such a way that this index can be used to visit any or all of them (one at a time of course). Each Title should be linked to the corresponding Bible Note topic.

I plan to have at least TWO separate Indexes, one simply in alphabetical for quicker reference and one to show the approximate original order in which the Bible Notes were created. These are posted as replies to this topic to help separate them more clearly.

I will likely add a quote with each Bible Note title for any quotes used in the Bible Notes Quotes feature at the top of this message board. Sometimes, these will often give the reader more of an idea of what the Bible Note is about. To see the Bible Notes Quotes in the order in which they were used, please visit this topic: Bible Notes Quotes Archives.

Bible Notes Topics Indexes: Alphabetical

Bible Notes Alphabetical Topic Index

Abraham's Astounding Faith

As in the Days of Noah (Part 1)

As in the Days of Noah (Part 2)
quote:

Walking with God is a biblical idea which conveys an ongoing relationship of communion and companionship. This is what God desires to have with every human being. This relationship is two-way. Noah talked to God, God talked to Noah; Noah listened to God, and God listened to Noah.

As in the Days of Noah (Conclusion)(or Part 3)

Does God Have a Welfare Program?
quote:

Robin Hood and his "merry men" might be interesting to read about, but his ethics were far from morally good. It is never right to break one of the Ten Commandments in order that good might come of it. The end does NOT justify the means! Stealing from the rich and giving to the poor is evil. Yes, it is right for the "rich" to give of their own free will to help the poor -- and many do; but, it is wrong to steal from them for that purpose.

End?, The
quote:

No amount of sin, mistakes, or adverse circumstances can change the nature and power of God. I say that if we are lost in Hell, it will not be through some mistake that God makes, for He cannot make a mistake. Neither can Satan somehow trick the Almighty. Satan is limited, but God is all-in-all -- all-powerful AND all-knowing!

Giving Thanks for God's Goodness

Great Commandment and the Golden Rule, The
quote:

If we love God and our neighbor as we should, we will have little if any trouble obeying God's rules. Righteous living flows outward from a heart full of God's love.

Honest Behavior

Invention with Great Potential for Evil,The
quote:

It is very useful in the hands of Satan to promote sin of every sort. And, yet, there is little or no outcry among the people of the church to get rid of this thing. It seems that anything with such potential for evil -- and much more evil than I am here even able to portray -- that such a thing ought to be banned from all churches, all of our homes, all of our schools, and even from public and private use altogether! There is just one problem...

Is Your Religion the Only Right One?

Jesus Gave Thanks
quote:

He gave thanks when he took the cup. Oh, think of the cup that He willingly took! I speak of that bitter cup which brought about the shedding of every drop of His precious blood. It was the very cup that He prayed would pass from Him if it were possible to avoid it and still accomplish the redemption of mankind. But, He still prayed, "Nevertheless, not my will but thine be done." (Luke 22:42)

Job's Animals and Children (first Bible Note written)
quote:

Those who try to put mankind and animals in the same category are not willing to accept the fact that God made man in His own image with a purpose of eternal existence. Also, whoever denies man’s immortality, is denying the eternal value of a human soul and of a human life.

I think of those who have as a motto "NO FEAR". I consider that such a thought is likely an expression of the reckless and rebellious spirit of today's sinful society. It is a false front that attempts to show bravado and confidence in the absence of God's life-giving Spirit.

I am talking about Jesus Christ the Son of God and Paul the apostle. Both of them had something in common besides the fact that they were always much in prayer, and that they were able to receive miraculous answers to prayer... both of them asked the Father for a specific thing three times and did not receive that for which they asked.

Undefiled Conscience, An
quote:

God has given us a conscience to help us to know and to follow the right path, to do what is right, to shun what is wrong, to entertain the right attitudes and to nurture a healthy thought life. In short, I gather that the conscience has a very important role in showing us our moral condition and in giving us a sense of right and wrong.

Re: Bible Notes Topics Indexes: Approximate Order of Creation

Note: Until I get all the archives formatted and posted, this index will have a gap of missing Bible Notes which were produced between Job's Animals and Children and the rest of the list.
