"Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?" (John 4:4, 29) Jesus did not blast her with condemning declarations. Instead He offered her hope, and a prime opportunity to get to know the Savior, Himself. It did not matter how much she was guilty of sin, for He loved her and would forgive her. He was the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, and would soon literally give His life a sacrifice for the sins of the whole world including hers!
