Bible Note Quote: "Here I am, like Moses, but much less worthy, on the "backside of the dessert" as it were, and while peering across the apparently barren landscape of my life there is a burning bush that captures my attention and my heart. The fire of the bush corresponds with the fire in my heart and I cannot help but follow... The fire still burns!"
quote from The Fire of God's Word Still Burns! ~ ~ (see former quotes here: Bible Note Quote Archives)

Let God Be True!

Let God Be True!

quote:

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. Romans 3:4

This verse is not saying that every man is a liar, nor that we could prevent God from telling the truth. The truth here expressed is that when we are confronted with the words of men that contradict the Word of God, we should use the utmost care to believe God over man.

Often, people believe other people instead of God. This is a very grave mistake, considering that God will judge us all in the end.

It is only a matter of time before we are faced with God's absolute truth in eternity. Are you and I ready now to indeed "let God be true, but every man a liar"?
