That is a rhetorical question, NOT intended to be critical, but rather to inspire personal heart-searching. My heart was stirred very much in the church camp meeting service tonight. The preacher delivered a very powerful message about the need of the church today to become broken and to repent over lethargy and compromise. His text was taken from Ezekiel 9:4: "And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof." (See all of Ezekiel chapters 8 and 9 for context.) Though the preacher did not quote the following verse, it came to my mind during the message: "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:" (2 Timothy 3:5a. I recommend reading the whole chapter** {17 verses} for context.) The sin and compromise of the church today should break the hearts of all who truly love the Lord.
