Bible Note Quote: "Here I am, like Moses, but much less worthy, on the "backside of the dessert" as it were, and while peering across the apparently barren landscape of my life there is a burning bush that captures my attention and my heart. The fire of the bush corresponds with the fire in my heart and I cannot help but follow... The fire still burns!"
quote from The Fire of God's Word Still Burns! ~ ~ (see former quotes here: Bible Note Quote Archives)

We CAN be Better! -- Seek God and His Love and Grace!

We CAN be Better! -- Seek God and His Love and Grace!

Once upon a time, in Detroit city, the "news" traveled from one public high school to another that a white boy had shot a black boy. The high school that heard the news decided to have a race riot, the black kids took over and did a lot of bad things -- as rioters often do regardless of their color.

Later, it was learned that it was actually a black boy who had shot that black boy...

I have often thought about this. Getting vengeance is such a flawed concept to begin with. " 'Vengeance is mine. I will repay,' saith the Lord."

God is the One Who knows all the facts. He is all powerful too. He is also a God of love. Let us trust Him to do what is right in the end (the final judgment) and let us help spread His love in the meantime, to see as many souls redeemed as possible.

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9
